MONUMENT 1

DAY TICKET

2020

Currently in Monument 1 we have a total stock of 300 fish. There is in excess of 85 different 30lb+ carp, and also 14 different 40lb+ carp, these are mostly the 'originals' which are in Monument 1. There are also two different fish which are 48lb+, these are 'Richie' and 'The Big Male' , both of these fish are still growing and will potentially hit the 50lb barrier very soon. With Monument 1 only being 8 acres in size it has to be one of the best lakes to catch a U.K. day ticket 30lb+ or 40lb+ carp.

We are continuously investing to ensure The Monument complex keeps improving and remains one of the very best day ticket carp fishing complex's in the U.K.

If you wish to fish for longer than 36hrs that is possible if you book 2 or 3 sessions that are back to back, if you book the same peg you can stay in your peg for the night and hand your rods into The Monument Office. You will then get your rods back at 6:30am the following morning. However, you cannot stay onsite on a Tuesday night or Wednesday night as we are shut for maintenance. So, you will therefore need to book in the order of a Thursday-Friday session, Saturday-Sunday session then Monday-Tuesday session.

Many anglers want to fish next to their friends when night fishing, so you can choose your swim, when you book.

History

Created in November 2002 Monument Lakes is a specially designed carp fishery. Further trees are continuously being planted to furhter imrpove the landscape. When you visit the Monument Carp Fishery you can expect the highest standards of Management.

In 2016, we drained Monument 1 dry and removed all of the features, this has massively benifitted the fishery, as the carp don't hold up in one area, they are constantly moving around so all swims consitantly produce. We also fenced the entire Monument Complex to ensure the saftey and longevity of the fisheries.

When to fish

Our sessions are 36hrs long, these start at 6:30am (7.00am in winter) in the morning on the first day of the session and finishes at 6:30 (dusk in winter) of the evening on the second day of the session.

Monday -Tuesday session
Thursday - Friday session
Saturday - Sunday session

Many anglers want to fish next to their friends when night fishing, so you can choose your swim, when you book on if the pegs are available.
