On the date you have booked The Mere, please arrive at The Monument Fishery TF11 8SD at 8am.

You will need to pay the balance money for your session and purchase all your bait from us. We offer a range of freshly made freezer boilies, particles and pellets. (Anglers can use their own hook baits.)

You can then make your way to The Mere which is only 3 miles away from The Monument.

• 3 day (Tuesday 8am - Thursday dusk) £150
• 3 day (Friday 8am - Sunday dusk) £150
• 6 day (Tuesday 8am - Sunday dusk) £300

Bait Boats

We highly recommend a bait boat as it suits the style of fishing at the mere, with the exception of Pegs 1, 2 & 3 which control the deep water of the lake, all other swims have no peg on the opposite bank, therefore the casting distance can vary from 70 yards, to over 140 yards. So a bait boat would be a huge advantage in placing your rigs and bait effectively along the far margin.

STOCK: We have introduced a mind-blowing 1336 fish into The Mere, averaging 20lb with the biggest resident being 'Grappo' at 48lb 08oz which was caught in May 2024.

FUTURE STOCK: We plan to stock The Mere with younger fish ever year to keep the lake a prolific as possible. We are also continuing to grow big fish every year on our fish farm and will continue to stock these into The Mere as larger target fish.  

Two rods only

1. BAIT You can only use RH Baits, purchased from the Monument Shop upon arrival. (Boilies, particles and pellets available)
2. Can use own Hookbaits (No Plastic Baits)
3. No Nuts (All nuts are banned)
4. Maggots and Worms are banned
5. Barbless hooks only
6. No Zigs allowed
7. No Ronnie Rigs or 360 Rigs allowed
8. No Guests or pets allowed
9. Leadless Leaders or Tubing ONLY (No plastic or braided leaders)
10. No retaining slings or carp sacks
11. We provide unhooking mats, slings and buckets only. You need to bring your own landing net.
12. Bait Boats are permitted

Facilities We hope to have a toilet and shower block built for the opening (April 5th 2022).If it doesn’t happen in time, there will be porter toilets on site and the option of a shower at the monument which is 3 miles away.

Anglers are to arrive at the monument on the morning of their session to check in, they will then be given directions for the short drive to The Mere.
